I was listened to each time I said my concerns or worries he was brilliant with me and I feel very relaxed speaking with him.

I found Dr Mellor a very helpful and friendly physician, and appreciate his time and expertise. He was generally very responsive (occasionally I wondered if he was getting enough time off!) and always warm and encouraging. There's one thing I'd mention in the spirit of constructive criticism. In my titration, on the first medication we tried (methylphenidate), I could tell fairly early on it really wasn't working for me. They lasted a fraction as long as they were supposed to, and I was getting detrimental side effects that were only getting worse with higher doses. I did explain this, but Dr Mellor asked me to continue increasing in the hope the medication would last longer and side effects would lessen with time. It did get to the point where side effects were really awful and I was just unwilling to put myself through any more. He did accept that, but in retrospect I wish we had simply changed medication a week or two earlier, it would have saved me a lot of (severe if temporary) stress and considerable instability in my energy and mood. I appreciate that insistence may have been in part due to standard regulations and schedules. Other than that I'd say he listened well, and took my own suggestions for approaches to try on board. Overall I'd strongly recommend him.

Dr Mellor was very supportive throughout this process. He was clearly very attentive to my experiences and really open and flexible when I asked about different options and combinations I could try to find the best possible improvement. When I had challenging experiences I felt very reassured and I felt like Dr Mellor respected my judgements of what was right for me as well as giving me guidance and knowledge to inform my decisions. I feel I could not have had a better doctor guiding me through this process and would recommend to anyone.

Despite our only communication being via an online portal I found Dr Mellor very friendly and supportive. He fully explained the titration plan for each medication and possible side effects, and his responses were prompt when I provided updates. There was an error with the dispensation of one of my medications and when I let him know he was very apologetic and passed the incident onto the relevant parties straight away.
